Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions we hear most often. If yours isn't here, just send us a message using the form above.
Which office should I contact?
If you're in Africa or the Middle East, contact our Nairobi headquarters at support@hopelink.world. If you're in the United States or Canada, email us@hopelink.world. If you're in the UK or Europe, email uk@hopelink.world. All enquiries reach the same team — we route them to whoever can help fastest.
How do I know my donation reaches a child?
Every donation is documented and assigned to a specific purpose — school fees, uniforms, books, or meals. We share regular updates with our supporters, and for sponsorships we provide termly reports on the child's progress (with privacy maintained).
Can I choose which child I support?
Yes — we can match you with a child whose needs align with what you would like to give. We do not share identifying details publicly, but we do send personal updates with their progress. Contact us and we will match you with a child.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept M-Pesa, bank transfer, debit and credit cards, PayPal, and international wire transfers. Visit our donate page to see all options. For larger gifts or corporate giving, please contact us directly so we can arrange the best method for you.
Can I visit the children in Kenya?
Yes — we run supporter trips to Kenya throughout the year. They are small, carefully organised, and designed to be respectful of the children and communities. Visit our booking page to learn more or express your interest.
Can I volunteer remotely?
Absolutely. We have volunteers helping with teaching, translation, design, social media, fundraising, and administration — all from their own homes. If you have a skill and a few hours a week, we would love to hear from you.
Are there tax benefits for US or UK donors?
Donors in the United States and United Kingdom may be eligible for tax relief on their gifts. Please contact our regional office (us@hopelink.world or uk@hopelink.world) for details, and consult a qualified tax advisor in your country. This is a placeholder — confirm the correct registration and receipts before publishing.
Do you work only in Kenya?
Today, our active programmes are all in Kenya — that is where we have the deepest community relationships and the strongest oversight. Our long-term vision is to expand across Africa, but only where we can maintain the same level of accountability and care.
Your Question Could Change a Child's Life
Some of our biggest supporters started with one simple email. If you're curious about anything, just ask — there is no such thing as a silly question.
