Numbers With Names Behind Them
Behind every statistic on this page is a child who was almost left behind. A girl who nearly dropped out because she had no uniform. A boy who missed a year of school after losing his parents. A family that couldn't afford exercise books, let alone shoes.
Across Africa, 118 million children and youth are out of school — and nearly 90% of children living in extreme poverty are in sub-Saharan Africa. Nine out of ten from the poorest households never complete even primary education.
We can't change those numbers alone. But together with our supporters, partners, and volunteers, we are changing them one child at a time — and these are the results so far.

Founded in Kenya
HopeLink World was registered as a community-based organisation in Kenya, with a focus on orphaned and vulnerable children.
Education & School Access
We began by addressing the most immediate barrier: school fees, uniforms, and learning materials for children on the edge of dropping out.
Partnerships Formed
We partnered with local schools, children's homes, and community leaders to identify and support more children across multiple counties.
Six Active Programs
Our work now spans education, uniforms, meals, child support, community partnerships, and advocacy — with a vision to expand across Africa.
Before, I had no uniform and I would stay home on days when the teacher checked. Now I go to school every day and I am top of my class.
